ECEBOL sells BOB35m since start-up

Bolivia’s  new ECEBOL unit has sold BOB35m (US$5m) of cement since its recent start-up. The company produces IP-40 cement and since August has launched the product in Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, La Paz and Oruro. Ecebol Oruro plant ready for trial in September

Empresa Pública Cementos de Bolivia (Ecebol)’s plant in Caracollo, Oruro, is expected to be ready for its trial run in September, according to the country’s Minister of Productive Development and Plural Economy, Eugenio Rojas. "The cement plant of Oruro de Caracollo we will do the test in September, at the end of the year we would be starting to operate or in the last case in 2019,” he said.

Bolivia authorises Ecebol new plant spend

The government of Bolivia has authorised the release of US$244,928,439 to Empresa Pública Cementos Boliviana (Ecebol) for the implementation, operation and commissioning of a cement works in Oruro. The Banco de Desarrollo Productivo is making the resources available in the form of a 20-year credit with three years grace.
